Creepy Clown Visits Cemetery
CHICAGO, July 24 (UPI) -- A Chicago couple driving past a cemetery late at night captured video of a person in a clown costume scaling a fence and waving at them.
Julia Graham said she and her husband were driving past the Rosehill Cemetery about 10 p.m. earlier this month when they spotted what appeared to be a person in a clown costume scaling a 7-foot fence to get into the cemetery.
Graham said the clown turned toward their car and slowly waved before running off into the distance.
"I mean, this was somebody putting forth a lot of effort -- and being really weird," Graham told WBBM-TV.
Cemetery officials said there were no reports of vandalism following the sighting, but Graham said she still doesn't like what the person was doing.
"I just think it's creepy and wrong," Graham said.
The encounter was reminiscent of a viral video from last year that depicted a person in a clown costume walking through New York's Greenwood Cemetery holding a bundle of balloons.
Creepy clowns became a nationwide trend during the Halloween season last fall, with pranksters in costumes being caught on video and in photos all across the country.

HEALTH....
Sleep Cool in The Summertime
(BPT) - Summer has officially arrived! While escaping daytime summer temperatures with swimming, ice cream and running through the sprinkler can be fun, the heat can be unbearable when it comes to getting a good night’s sleep.
There is a link between high temperatures and poor sleep, according to the National Sleep Foundation. When the temperature is very high, it takes longer to fall asleep, and once you’re able to fall asleep, it's often restless. Air conditioning can be your best friend during summer months, so make sure the filter is clean, your unit is serviced and, most importantly, you know what temperature is optimal for sleeping comfortably.
"There is a clear link between body temperature and sleep,” says Dr. Sujay Kansagra, who is board certified in sleep medicine, an assistant professor at Duke's School of Medicine and consultant to Mattress Firm. “A drop in body temperature is important when going from wake to sleep, and keeping the room on the cooler side – 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit – can help with the transition to sleep.”
Beyond adjusting the thermostat, there are a number of ways to keep your sleep environment cool and improve the quality of your summertime slumber. Follow these five tips this summer so the heat doesn’t stand between you and eight sound and peaceful hours of rest:

Beyond adjusting the thermostat, there are a number of ways to keep your sleep environment cool and improve the quality of your summertime slumber. Follow these five tips this summer so the heat doesn’t stand between you and eight sound and peaceful hours of rest:
- Despite the heat, your body will still be the hottest part of your room. Keep a fan on to help circulate the warm air away from your body. Believe it or not, a warm nighttime shower may help. The quick drop in body temperature after a shower can help you fall asleep.
- Avoid excessive exercise late in the evening. It can raise your body temperature for long periods of time, making it harder to fall asleep.
- Take a look at your mattress, pillows and other bedding items to make sure they’re not adding to the heat. If so, visit your local Mattress Firm to find gel memory foam mattresses and pillows, mattress toppers and more to help you sleep cooler.
- Clothing has the most direct exterior impact on your body temperature while you sleep. The lighter the clothing you wear to bed, the cooler you’ll be. Lose the socks and go to sleep barefoot to allow body heat to escape through your extremities.
- Try to disconnect all electronics. According to research, smartphones and tablets, among other devices, radiate heat even if they’re turned off. Unplugging all devices will help reduce total bedroom heat.

Ask The Doc........
Technology can be wonderful!
by Dr. Gary Williams, DMD
garywilliamsdmd.com
I know sometimes new technologies can be frustrating and leave us questioning whether “progress” is worth the hassle. But, that is not the case with intra-oral digital scanners. We have been using our digital scanner at Family Dental Care now for 3 months, and the results are amazing.
Sure, it’s pretty “cool” technology, and it has been totally comfortable for patients. No gagging going on! And the turn around time is much shorter. All of these are pluses, but here is the real benefit… the accuracy and fit of what we are making.
I can comfortably predict a great fit of your new crowns, splints, Invisalign aligners, retainers, and anything else we scan for. That makes it worthwhile.
It’s one thing to restore your mouth to health, but I want, you want, and you deserve to rest assured that what is placed in your mouth is the best possible fit known to dentistry.
Digital scanning is here to stay at Family Dental Care. Feel free to ask us about our scanner. Garywilliamsdmd.com.
