CVS Bans Cigarettes sales, Reduces Market by 1%
USPAC, the union representing police officers in the northeastern town of Olot, said the 2,000 marijuana plants seized during the summer are being stored in locations including the underground parking lot and some police offices due to lack of space and the smell from the plants have been making officers ill.
The union said the "unbearable smell" from the plants has caused "discomfort" and "headaches" in some officers, while others reported "feeling the effects of smoking something illegal."
"What will people who come to report incidents think when they enter the police stations and smell such a strong odor?" the union's complaint said.
The union said police management has failed to address complaints from officers. The complaint called for specialized containers to be installed at the station to store the marijuana and other objects.

Discounts For Customers Who Get Logo Tattoos
Rainbow Blossom Natural Food Markets, based in Louisville, announced on Facebook the discounts will be offered to customers who have the store's rainbow flower logo tattooed on their bodies.
"Fine print: tattoo must be visible and not in a 'private' area and at least one inch square in size. Let's see what you're made of, Louisville!" the company said.
The store is not the first to offer tattoo-based discounts -- The Melt Bar & Grilled in Lakewood, Ohio, announced in 2009 it would be offering discounts to customers who got tattoos of the eatery's signature dish, the grilled cheese sandwich.
AROUND THE HOUSE....
Five Ideas to Raise Your Home’s I.Q.
These five upgrades can go a long way to boost the intelligence of your house.
High-Tech Hub
The kitchen is the hub of the home and it sees much more than just meal prep and dinner time. From homework to casual conversation, your family expects more from this already hard-working space. In fact, the kitchen is the number one room where homeowners would like to incorporate technology, according to a recent research study by Moen.
• One-third of homeowners charge devices in the kitchen, according to the Moen study. You can make this task simpler and cord-free with new countertops, such as the Corian line from DuPont, which features wireless chargers seamlessly embedded into its surface. Or install a docking and charging station with a built-in USB power strip to maximize the number of devices you can charge at once.
• At the top of consumers’ kitchen tech wish list is a hands-free faucet, for good reason. For the convenience of a faucet that senses what you're trying to accomplish, and with a wave of your hand immediately responds to your needs, check out the slim and sleek new STō pulldown kitchen faucet from Moen with MotionSense. In addition to the traditional handle, you can activate the faucet by waving your hand over it to turn it on and off, or by placing your hands or an object under its spout. For more information, visit moen.com/motionsense.
Tech-Savvy Details
• Worried about what your appliances are up to when you’re gone? Whirlpool Smart Appliances with 6th Sense Live technology now allows consumers to access appliances remotely. You can manage refrigerator temperature or lock the dishwasher control console and see when the washer cycle is complete, all from a connected application on a smart device.
• Long gone are the days of shuttling a portable stereo from room to room. A smart system of HiFi wireless speakers and audio components can unite a digital music collection. With a Sonos speaker, for example, you can control what’s streaming from any device, and the music can be heard in any room.
• You can transform the mood of a room at the touch of a button with new smart LED lightbulbs that allow you to change the color or brightness any time, even from your smartphone. Studies show that light can affect mood, productivity and eyestrain. By optimizing lighting for each activity, you can live better and enjoy your home more.
Being among the first to embrace new technologies in your home can make it the smartest in the neighborhood.

The story is about a young girl on a trip to a local pumpkin patch and how her choice of a pumpkin ostracizes her from her peers.
Her producing team are all Pennsylvania natives. They decided to return to their hometown area to film because they love Pennsylvania and want to bring support to the local community. They are currently crowd-funding through the website Seed&Spark. They are 37% funded toward their goal of $11,000. They need to raise at least 80% of their goal or they lose all of their generous contributions. Ask The Doc........ Technology can be wonderful!
by Dr. Gary Williams, DMD
garywilliamsdmd.com I know sometimes new technologies can be frustrating and leave us questioning whether “progress” is worth the hassle. But, that is not the case with intra-oral digital scanners. We have been using our digital scanner at Family Dental Care now for 3 months, and the results are amazing. Sure, it’s pretty “cool” technology, and it has been totally comfortable for patients. No gagging going on! And the turn around time is much shorter. All of these are pluses, but here is the real benefit… the accuracy and fit of what we are making. I can comfortably predict a great fit of your new crowns, splints, Invisalign aligners, retainers, and anything else we scan for. That makes it worthwhile. It’s one thing to restore your mouth to health, but I want, you want, and you deserve to rest assured that what is placed in your mouth is the best possible fit known to dentistry. Digital scanning is here to stay at Family Dental Care. Feel free to ask us about our scanner. Garywilliamsdmd.com. Slate Belt Senior Center
