Book Review..........Country
by Danielle Steel Country by Danielle Steel is a fiction and romance. This book is about a woman named Stephanie and her family, how they are, and how things are not right between Stephanie and her husband. They have other couples they always hang out together with and go on trips with them also. The women are close and talk a lot about their families. On a recent trip skiing, Stephanie’s husband dies suddenly of a heart attack. From this moment on her life is never the same as things start to crumble and fall apart. Her other friends are having issues as well. So Stephanie decides to figure things out on a hike and this is where she meets a guy. From then on her life starts changing again somewhat for the better. She finds out he’s a big country music star named Chase Taylor. They begin to get close and share stories about their lives. She visits him in Nashville and so the story begins to move forward for the good for her and him after awhile. Her family and friends as it starts aren’t happy with what she’s doing, and her children are furious with her as well. Eventually her friends as well as her children are aware of what is going on and as it goes they do get over it and realize Stephanie needs to be happy and find love again after losing her husband and children’s father. In my opinion this story has a moral in it to me which is If you lose the love of your life and find a new one, never let them go; life goes on and one needs to be happy even if it’s a result of a horrible tragedy. As a saying in the book was said towards the end, Carpe diem, which means seize the day, which she does in the end and ends up happy through it all. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good romance story. Danielle Steel wrote a good book and as usual will continue to write many more. Spider Hoists pebble With Web
Nicholas Steenberg of Sonderborg posted a video to YouTube showing the pebble hanging in the air by strands of spider web outside his woodshed.
He said the spider apparently used the pebble as a corner weight for the web and it ended up hoisted into the air.
"I found a pebble at the base of this spider web that was used as a corner weight to construct the web. It was incredible to imagine how it hoisted the rock up 3 feet above the ground. This shows the amazing strength and wit that these creatures have," Steenberg wrote in the video's description.

YARD WORK....
Aerate Your Lawn this Fall
The main benefit is to relieve compaction and increase pore space, which promotes gas exchange and microbial activity in the soil and creates a better, more supportive environment for lawn health and vitality. Aeration also promotes better soil drainage, which helps keep disease at bay and allows more water to percolate into the soil from rain or irrigation, meaning less runoff and more water getting where it needs to go.
“Ideal aeration timing depends on turf type and geography,” says Lloyd Von Scheliha of Exmark Manufacturing, a manufacturer of turf care equipment. “But annual aeration provides valuable agronomic benefits to virtually any turfgrass.”
With that in mind, here are some tips from the experts at Exmark to get the most benefits from aeration:
• Timing: Ideally, aeration should take place during times of active growth to help with recovery. Avoid aeration during times of heat stress or times preceding dormancy. It’s typically best to aerate cool season grasses in the spring or fall, while with warm season grasses, it’s best to aerate in late spring or early fall.
• Proper equipment: Use gear that meets the needs of your lawn. For example, Exmark offers a 30-inch Stand-On aerator that makes quick work of even large properties with the ability to easily maneuver around landscape features.
• Follow-up: After aeration, it’s a good idea to water the lawn, as well as a good time to apply fertilizer or overseed if needed. Be careful not to apply a pre-emergent if you plan to overseed, however, as it will prevent the new seed from growing.
Don’t let this important, but often overlooked lawn care task escape your attention this season. At the ideal time for your lawn, either take it upon yourself or hire a professional to give your grass a better chance at thriving.

The story is about a young girl on a trip to a local pumpkin patch and how her choice of a pumpkin ostracizes her from her peers.
Her producing team are all Pennsylvania natives. They decided to return to their hometown area to film because they love Pennsylvania and want to bring support to the local community. They are currently crowd-funding through the website Seed&Spark. They are 37% funded toward their goal of $11,000. They need to raise at least 80% of their goal or they lose all of their generous contributions. Famed Steam Engine Coming to Area
Nickel
Plate Road (NKP) #765, a 2-8-4
Berkshire-type steam locomotive will roll into The Historic Dansbury Depot in East Stroudsburg on
Labor Day.
Six hundred riders are expected on this trip as Steamtown National Historic Site and the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society will partner with Norfolk Southern’s 21st Century Steam program to operate two special summer steam excursions! Nickel Plate Road (NKP) #765, a 2-8-4 Berkshire-type steam locomotive, owned by the Fort Wayne group, will operate Saturday, September 5 to Delaware Water Gap and Monday, September 7, to Dansbury Depot in East Stroudsburg. NKP #765 is a “sister” locomotive to Steamtown’s NKP #759 locomotive, on static display inside the park’s Roundhouse. Tickets will be sold online only, at http://fortwaynerailroad.org/ Historic steam locomotive no. 765 is a high-stepping, fourteen-wheeled, magnificent machine that stands 15 feet tall, weighs 404 tons, goes over 60 miles an hour and restored to the way it looked and sounded when it was built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1944. These were precision machines forged and crafted from solid steel. They meant something to those who worked in their shadow. Make no mistake, however, these iron horses, so often romanticized, take hard, unwieldy work to corral and maintain. They lived and breathed, had voices and moods, and hummed with an audible heartbeat; they were the most human of all our inventions. The 765 is one of a famous class of steam locomotives called the Berkshire; one known for its super power technology and aesthetic charm. The men and women of the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society saved the 765 from becoming a rusting monument in a city park and restored it to operating condition in 1979. For fourteen years thereafter, the 765 would run special excursion trains around the country to the delight of 100,000 passengers. From 1993 to 2005, the 765 was completely rebuilt, and is now more than ready to reach another hundred thousand people. Food and entertainment will be available throughout the town and at the depot. Ask The Doc........ Technology can be wonderful!
by Dr. Gary Williams, DMD
garywilliamsdmd.com I know sometimes new technologies can be frustrating and leave us questioning whether “progress” is worth the hassle. But, that is not the case with intra-oral digital scanners. We have been using our digital scanner at Family Dental Care now for 3 months, and the results are amazing. Sure, it’s pretty “cool” technology, and it has been totally comfortable for patients. No gagging going on! And the turn around time is much shorter. All of these are pluses, but here is the real benefit… the accuracy and fit of what we are making. I can comfortably predict a great fit of your new crowns, splints, Invisalign aligners, retainers, and anything else we scan for. That makes it worthwhile. It’s one thing to restore your mouth to health, but I want, you want, and you deserve to rest assured that what is placed in your mouth is the best possible fit known to dentistry. Digital scanning is here to stay at Family Dental Care. Feel free to ask us about our scanner. Garywilliamsdmd.com. Slate Belt Senior Center
